Shippensburg University Fair 8/29/2009 - On Saturday August 29 the Vigilant Hose Company, the West End Fire and Rescue, and Shippensburg Area EMS participated in the annual activities fair at Shippensburg University.
R.A. at the Shippensburg University 8/25/2009 - On Tuesday August 25 members of the Vigilant Hose Company went up to Shippensburg University to teach the RA's and RD's on how to use a fire extinguisher
Car Fire on I-81 8/7/2009 - The Vigilantes were dispatched for a possible car frire on Interstate 81 northbound at mile post 27 (just north of Baltimore Road). Chief 252 announced he was in the area with a fully involved sedan. Engine 154, heading northbound, was first on the scene and stretched a line to extinguish the fire. By Kevin Nehf
Tractor Trailer Fire 8/2/2009 - Arrived on the scene to find a Tractor Tailer hauling large round paper rolls with fire involving the rear axles and extending into the front of the trailer. The fire was quickly knocked down. A front end loader was used to remove the large round paper rolls. Units operating on scene were Engines 1-52, 15-1, Tanker 49, fire police and Amb 73. |
