12-27-10 House Fire - Mowersville Road - Lurgan Township - Franklin County Just after 10 pm on Monday night alarm bells rang out for a house fire in the 10,000 block of Mowersville Road in Luragn Township. With Engine 152 out of service the Vigilants responded with Engine 252 and the Tanker. Units went on scene with a working attic fire in a two story wood frame dwelling (originally a log home). Engine 2's crew assisted with water supply before being placed in service after midnight. Units on the scene came from far and wide; Newburg, Pleasant Hall, Shippensburg, Newville, Dry Run, Chambersburg, Walnut Bottom, Bloserville and Plainfield. And a big Thank You to New Franklin Fire Department and the crew of Engine 17-2 for protecting the citizens of Shippensburg while the town was empty.

12-04-10 Smoke Detectors in Memory A monetary presentation was made to the representatives of the Shippensburg Fire Department and the Shippensburg Fire Safety Educational Task Force on December 4, from the students of the SASD, in order purchase smoke detectors in Memory of Nicole Wilson who died in a fire along with grandmother on November 9, 1999. A total of $294.33 was raised this year.
12/5/2010 FIRE UNDER A MOBILE HOME IN CLEVERSBURG
12-5-10 Under the Mobile Home Fire in Clevesburg On December 5th Shippensburg units were dispatched to a mobile home fire next to 11 Broad Street in the village of Cleversburg. C-52 went on the scene with a working fire. E-252 arrived to find the fire contained to the underside of the mobile home. The wagon's crew had the fire knocked down in under 10 minutes and crews went to work overhauling the burning insulation. The cause of the fire was a torch being used by the owner and units returned to service in under an hour. TJ 12-06-10 Reported mobile home fire, Town Mills Shippensburg Township
12-06-10 Reported mobile home fire, Town Mills Shippensburg Township Shippensburg Fire Department was dispatched for the mobile home fire with entrapment at Town Mills. Engine 152 & Engine 252 responded immediately with a total of 14 personel. Chief 152 went on the scene with light smoke showing from a single wide trailor. Engine 152 laid a supply line and advance a hose line. Further investigation reveled a minor furnace malfunction, with no fire department services needed. Command 52 placed the box in service.

12-10-10 Car fire in the carport - Green Township Company 52 was dispatched to assist on a house fire on Mountain View in Greene Township Franklin Count. Units on the scene found a vehicle fire in the carport area of the house. Command held Tanker 52. 12-20-10 Shed Fire - Hassinger Road - Hopewell Township
12-11-10 Shed Fire Back Road Fannett Township Franklin County Tanker 52 was called to Back Road in Fannett Township for a shed fire along with companies from Franklin, Fulton, Perry, Huntingdon and Juniata Counties. 12-22-10 New Traffic 52 Update
New Traffic 52 Update The chassis for the new Fire Police unit arrived at IM Apparatus in Harrisburg last week. It is a 2011 Ford F550 Crew Cab and the builder is ready to equip it with a poly body. The new Traffic 52 is expected to be in service in March of 2011.
